AN ORIGINAL MUSICAL
Love Birds is a bold new musical blending the charm and spectacle of 1920s vaudeville with contemporary themes of love, identity, and acceptance.
Created by Robert J. Sherman, the third generation of the legendary Sherman songwriting family, Love Birds unfolds in a fantastical theatre populated by exotic, colorful birds who sing, dance, and perform in a dazzling vaudeville revue.
When their beloved theatre is threatened with closure, the avian characters must rediscover courage, community, and love. Designed for multigenerational audiences to appreciate and enjoy, Love Birds combines classic musical-theatre storytelling, visual spectacle, and an enduring message:
IF YOUR LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND LOVE, DON'T RUN TO IT... FLY TO IT!

For over a century, the Sherman family has shaped the sound of joy, wonder, and emotional storytelling through popular music. The story begins with Al Sherman, a Tin Pan Alley songwriter whose hit songs were recorded by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong.
Al Sherman’s sons, Robert B. and Richard M. Sherman, the Sherman Brothers, brought that legacy into the Golden Age of Disney and beyond, writing iconic song scores for Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Winnie the Pooh, and more. Their work introduced hundreds of millions of people to the magic of musical storytelling, with songs that remain woven into global culture today.
Carrying this tradition forward is Robert J. Sherman (Robbie), a contemporary composer, lyricist, and theatrical producer. His theatre credits include A Spoonful of Sherman, Bumblescratch, A Christmas Held Captive, and Love Birds. Robbie brings a timeless musical sensibility and deeply personal voice to Love Birds, crafting an original story rooted in legacy, heart, and harmony.
In 2025, Joshua Kirshbaum, Co-Founder of Impact Ventures International LLC and a fourth-generation member of the Sherman family, joined Robbie on Love Birds as Lead Producer. His role connects the Sherman family’s creative heritage with the project’s evergreen potential across stage, licensing, merchandising, and media.
